34 Weeks

We went in this morning for our first bio physical profile of little one.  She did awesome.  She got an 8/8 (meaning she did her practice breathing, moved all her limbs and just basically looked good!).  My blood pressure is fine, I lost 2 lbs this week.  Basically the doctor said my pregnancy is going as well as we can hope!
Maddie is weighing in at 5 lbs 6 oz, making her the perfect 50th percentile!  Her heartbeat was 149 bpm.  She looked great.  She gave us an awesome full face picture and a really good profile picture as well.  I need to put them on the computer.
We are looking forward to meeting her in 34 days.  My c-section is still scheduled for January 25th, and as long as she keeps growing well she should weigh in around 8 to 8 1/2 pounds.  A little smaller than I thought, but perfect!!
I am finishing up my little bit of Christmas shopping that I am doing, just have 2 more items to buy.  We are going to visit family on Saturday.  The OB said it was fine for me to travel the 2 hours north, just as long as I didn't try to come back 2 hours if I needed to go to the hospital!  He also said that I should not hesitate if I need to go to the hospital for any reason.  He was adamant that I could go everyday if I felt like it, just as long as I went!  There have been a few times where I've contemplated asking DH to take me, but baby girl either moved or I felt better within a few minutes.  I had terrible pain in my upper back and chest last night.  i thought for sure I was having a heart attack or something!  Turned out to be gas!  I can understand why people go to the hospital for a heart attack and it ends up being heartburn or gas.  I was terrified and in so much pain.
I have 19 more days of work left before my maternity leave starts.  I am planning on working through the 21st (Friday), and then taking that weekend and Monday as the start of my leave before the c-section on Tuesday.  It will be nice to have a few days at home, just DH and I getting the last of the baby stuff done.  I'm not sure how much I'll be up to doing, but hopefully we can get it all done in time.
I have my appointment with the lactation consultant and the hospital tour on Tuesday, my next OB and bio physical profile on Wednesday.  Every Wednesday until I give birth I will have a scan and an OB appointment.  I'm looking forward to seeing baby girl and making sure she grows well.
I hope everyone has a Wonderful Christmas and spends lots of time with loved ones!

Snow!

We finally have some snow!  It just doesn't feel like winter without snow!  It is currently snowing (and has been for about 3 hours now) outside while I am sitting at my desk at work.  I am getting concerned about the roads and will probably leave a snidge early today.  I see cars going by, and each one is going slower and slower.  I am afraid the roads are going to be slick.  We're supposed to get an inch or so.  Not much, but it's something!
33 weeks pregnant and I feel great!  My hips are still bothering me a lot, but I just keep telling myself it will only be a matter of time before baby girl is here!  I have been having a lot of braxton hicks contractions and have tried to keep hydrated as well as I can.  We had to reschedule our lactation consultant appointment for the end of the month.  We are going to do our hospital tour that day as well.  I am going in for my 34 week scan and appointment next week.  I'm excited to see baby girl again and know that she is growing well.
I am so not ready for Christmas.  Even though we really aren't doing gifts for anyone this year, money is just too tight, I still feel like we should be doing something!  No tree, no decorations, no baking.  It's kind of sad!  I am planning on making DH some cookies tonight, but I just don't have the energy to sit at the stove all day.  When I try to cook dinner or bake something I end up dizzy and feeling sick to my stomach.  I think it's a combination of the heat and the pain in my hips (it goes down through my thigh into my knee!).
Baby girl is really moving around these days, she keeps me up!  I was awake last night from about 3 am to 5:30 or so.  Baby girl was not happy with me, she kicked hard!
I am so excited to go out in the snow, but hopefully the roads are OK!  Stay safe and have a wonderful holiday!

32 weeks!

32 weeks and baby girl's heartrate was 154 bpm yesterday at the OB.  Mommy gained 2 lbs, blood pressure is good and sugars are still good.  We got some unexpected, exciting news at the doctor's office.  We will be getting weekly ultrasounds to check baby girl's growth starting at our 34 week appointment.  We get these scans because I have a lap band, and also because of my weight.
My surprise baby shower was this weekend.  It was beautiful!  My MIL and SIL threw the shower and it was really nice.  The food was awesome, and the decorations were so stinkin cute.  It was baby pooh theme and I loved it!  Baby girl got tons of gifts, including the movement monitor and the jumper we had on the registry.  We also got tons of books, 3 people made the baby homemade blankets, lots of cute clothes and a bunch of other useful stuff (lotions, nail clippers, brushes).  It was a really nice day.
Now we are just settling into the reality that in a few short weeks we are going to be welcoming the most beautiful baby girl into the world.  It is amazing how quickly time is flying by.  We tentatively scheduled a c-section for January 21st.  Baby girl is still breech and we will keep an eye on her as she grows through those weekly ultrasounds.
Right now I am working on my Christmas cards and my thank you cards!  Lots of stamps will be purchased next week.  I'm hoping to get everything out by next Wednesday.  We have a few hectic weekends coming up, so I'm planning on relaxing when I can!  I want to enjoy the last few weeks of my pregnancy while I still can!  Before you know it, I won't be pregnant anymore!

31 Weeks!

31 weeks pregnant.  I never thought I'd actually be able to be here.  Even after we passed the 12 week mark, there was the 20 week ultrasound, the 24 week viability marker and now 31 weeks.  8 weeks until our c-section.  2 months.  It seems like a dream.  I feel so blessed to be pregnant and feeling baby girl kick around and live it up inside.  I just can't seem to wrap my mind around the fact that in 2 short months I'm going to be a Mommy.  DH is going to be a Daddy.  It's amazing.  Time goes so fast that I worry about not being able to enjoy it.
I'm dealing with a few stressors as the time quickly approaches.  Christmas always causes me stress.  I worry about what to get people, who and when we are going to see, what am I going to wear?  We've always tried to be generous with our gifts because we feel so blessed with what we have, but this year has been hard for us.  DH's workers comp got cut in half, and with him unable to find a new job we are working with half his income and my income.  My hours have been cut back at work making it hard for us to just remain afloat every month.  The bills are paid, rent is paid but that leaves us very little to work with as far as gift money.  We've already told everyone that we don't need anything, we would rather the focus be on baby girl.  It's not about us anymore, it's about the baby.  We are doing 1 small gift per person this year.  I just bought DH's gift from Amazon.  I used my swagbucks to get gift cards for Amazon, so DH's gift actually only cost me $7.90 (It is a $65 hoodie).  Love swagbucks!
We are also still dealing with the idea of moving.  I know we have to, we just don't want to.  Our rent is going to increase by at least $300 a month (if not more!), not to mention the expense of moving.  I'm keeping my eye out for a good deal on rent for a single family house in that area, but the lowest I've found is $1250 a month.  I was hoping to rent something for around $1000.  We'd have to cut back more, but it would be feasible.
We decided to leave the Christmas decorations away this year, as much as I would love to decorate our home I just don't have the energy.  So, no tree, no lights, no wreaths.  Our house will be the sad house on the block.  I am going to hang up the stockings though.  I need some ideas on stocking stuffers for DH.  Maybe a DVD or something will be good.
Our next appointment is next Wednesday, and I get to schedule the c-section then.  Hopefully things continue to go smoothly and we'll have a bundle of joy at the end of January!

30 Weeks!

We are 30 weeks pregnant!  I am excited and the doctors are pleased with how this pregnancy is going.  Baby girl is growing well, and her heart was beating last night at 142 BPM.  She was kicking and punching the doppler the whole time.  Baby girl is not a fan of the doppler or ultrasound.  She gets feisty.
I passed my gestational diabetes test, have actually lost 2 pounds in 2 weeks and my blood pressure is perfect!  I think when the doctors see an overweight patient come in they expect all the worst things to happen.  I have surprised them all.  Now, I do have 9 more weeks to go before my c-section and anything can happen, but for now baby girl and I are doing great.  I go back in 2 more weeks and will schedule my c-section then.
I did purchase Maddie's very first tutu from a great lady on Etsy on Friday.  I received it Monday and it is the darn cutest thing you have ever seen in your life!  It's brown and pink with a brown bow.  I can't wait to see her in it!
I also went on a shopping spree at BabiesRus for clothes.  I went crazy!  She has lots of pink and purple clothes now.  And the cutest Amy Coe pink skull hoodie and sweatpant set.  Love it!  The great thing was, most of the clothes were on clearance with an extra 30% off, so I got 3 huge bags of clothes and a cute pair of leather shoes for $60.  Amazing.
Well, 69 days to go!  We are ready!

Beautiful Baby!

I am so excited to announce that baby showed the goods yesterday!  Mommy and Daddy are thrilled to announce that we are expecting our beautiful baby girl!  She is gorgeous and we finally got a full face picture.  She was being stubborn with some of the shots, but we were finally able to get all the good pictures of her heart, and she is weighing in at 3 lbs 2 oz.
Our families are so excited and we all cannot wait until baby girl is born.  I am scheduling the c-section at my 30 week appointment next week, it should be at the end of January.  The doctor asked me if I had taken my GD sugar test yet, I'm thinking it's because the baby is measuring a little on the big side for her gestational age.  I told him I passed with flying colors!
All the kids my Mom had were over 8 lbs at birth, and I was darn close to 10 lbs!  Actually 9 lbs 15 oz, so I was kind of expecting a chunky baby.  Her cheeks are the cutest, and again she spent a lot of the time with her hands in her mouth.  I think she'll be a thumb sucker, just like Mommy!
We will be naming her Madison.  Although we are stuck on the middle names.  I would like to name her after my Mom and DH's Mom.  But, it is going to make baby girls name super long with 2 middle names so we are still contemplating.
I am off to search for baby girl's very first tutu!

Almost 29 weeks!

We will be 29 weeks pregnant tomorrow.  I am so super excited, and so excited to see how little one is growing on Wednesday!  I also have an appointment to get my hair cut on Wednesday.  The last time I got a haircut was March 13th.  It was right after my surgery and I just needed something.  I'm not going quite as short this time.  Just to the nape of my neck in the back.  I'm going to keep the front longer (I think my face looks better framed with hair).
In other news, I am having a baby shower!  I don't know when or where, but I know my mother in law and sister in law are throwing it.  My Grandmother from Virginia isn't going to be able to make it, I'm a little sad about that.  It is a long drive though, and she is working so hard.  We've decided that little one will call her GeeGee and her husband Poppy.  I just met them a few years ago, she is my Mom's birthmom and I am so lucky to have them in my life.  They are really wonderful people, and they are going to be so good for the baby to have around.
I am hoping the ultrasound goes well on Wednesday, baby has been moving like crazy.  We were sitting on the couch relaxing yesterday afternoon when the baby started flipping around.  DH was looking at my belly when all of a sudden he just saw it start moving.  He was amazed.  It is wonderful to see his face when he feels little one move, or sees my belly moving.  It is finally starting to sink in that we are going to have this little bundle of joy in just a little while!
The doctor said we are going to schedule the c-section at our next appointment.  That will be November 23rd.  He said we will aim for 39 weeks, which would put us right at January 25th.  Or 71 days from now!
DH said this pregnancy seems to be going so quick for him.  I just have to laugh!  It is stretching out for me.  I am in so much pain, it is hard for me to sit, walk, lay down, stand.  I am having such a hard time sleeping, everytime I have to turn over (which is often!) I wake up cause it hurts me so much.
It is all well worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat.  I just can't wait to have this little one here in our arms.
We still don't know the sex of the baby, and we are leaving it up to this little one to show us or not at our ultrasound!  We've waited 29 weeks, what's 10 more?  I know if baby wants us to know, (s)he will show us!  I'm betting on crossed legs and not one little peek!
I will certainly update on Thursday with new pictures!

28 Weeks!

We are 28 weeks, it is amazing.  I am feeling this little one move so much it is crazy!  When I lay down at night to try and sleep, the baby feels like an acrobat.  Flipping around, moving from one side to another, up and down.  Daddy got to feel the baby doing some moving the other night, he was excited.
We got the crib mattress last weekend from the IL's and we are busy getting things together for the nursery.  We are also busy trying to find a new place to live before this little one comes into the world.  Yes, we are moving again.  Circumstances this time are beyond our control, and let me just say I am not happy about it.  Actually, I am quite miserable and not looking forward to packing up my whole house again.  let's hope we can get settled somewhere for an extended period of time, because this moving every year thing sucks big time.
Well, with Thanksgiving and Christmas on the horizon I anticipate a very full couple of months.  I'm sure we will be busy traveling to see family and spend time with everyone.
I am going in for my level 2 ultrasound on the 17th.  I am looking forward to seeing little one again, as we will be 29 weeks and I'm sure little one will be more like big one now!  I just hope they can see everything they need to see this time and we can be assured that the baby is growing well.
Have a wonderful week!  I will update after my level 2, and Yay for me!  I passed my 1 hour glucose, so no stinking 3 hour glucose test!!

Just a thought for today!

A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.

Just a few pictures!

Well, we are 26 weeks pregnant.  Things are going smoothly.  I had an episode of high blood pressure but it has since gone way down.  I am getting ready to do my 1 hour glucose test next week, and looking forward to our level 2 ultrasound on November 17th!  I am also so looking forward to the holidays, spending time with family and eating!  I never want to eat anything, and nothing tastes the same.
I am going to just post a couple of pictures of the nursery.  We have all the furniture set up including the bassinet.  I am slowly adding to my stash of cloth diapers, as you will see.  Baby already has plenty of clothing, just need to add some gender specific stuff in there.  Well, I have another follow up for my blood pressure next week, then my 28 week OB appointment, and my level 2 ultrasound in a few weeks.  It is keeping us busy!
The pictures are as follows:  The crib (minus the mattress and bedding set which we don't have yet), the bassinet, pooh, tigger and the baby's coming home blanket keeping the bassinet nice and toasty until little one shows up, dresser/changer and baby's laundry basket, the mural of removable decals above the baby's changer, the dresser with baby's first pooh piggy bank and the pooh and friends ginormous soft stacker, our cloth diaper stash which includes 19 cloth diapers and 30 liners, all the baby's towels and washcloths, hats, booties and bibs followed by the drawer of newborn and 0-3 month clothes (the gowns in the left side of the picture are my favorite!), 3-6 month clothes (and some 6-9 month as well), and fianlly!  The snuggly little white fuzzy bear outfit that baby will wear when we leave the hospital.   I didn't include pictures of the car seat and high chair because they are still in the boxes.
We are so excited and ready to welcome our little one in just 98 days!

Almost there!

I know I have lots of weeks to go, but I look forward to hitting the 24 week mark.  6 more days.
I go in for my OB appointment next week, and I am hoping for a quick peek at the baby.  Baby has been kicking around like crazy, but is still so low.  It really feels like I'm being kicked right in the cervix.  Sometimes it's painful, but usually it just makes me feel like I'm going to pee myself!  I still don't think I look pregnant.  DH says I do, but I still have a B belly, so I think I just look chunk.
We put the baby's bassinet together this weekend, and I have big plans to deep clean this weekend.  I doubt it will happen, but a girl can plan, right?  I am still contemplating on when to put the baby's furniture together.  It's going to take us a whole day to get all three pieces put together, but I don't know if I feel like it right now.
On another note, last week it was 90 degrees and humid as crap outside, this week.....40 degrees and rainy!  What the heck with the weather?  I went from flip flops and gaucho's to sweaters and clogs in 1 day!  It is crazy.
I'll update after my OB appointment!  Also, we are meeting with the Pediatrician on Monday, I want to make sure we pick a good one!

21 Weeks and Level 2 Ultrasound

We have made it to 21 weeks!  I am so excited.  Our little one weighs 1 lb and it doing well!  We went in for a level 2 ultrasound yesterday to check on baby's heart.  They couldn't get good pictures because the baby is breech and my placenta is anterior (on the top of my uterus).  So, we went 2 hours north to the maternal fetal medicine place for a level 2 scan.  I laid on the table for 1 1/2 hours while 3 seperate people poked my belly with the ultrasound wand and we still couldn't get any shots!
Baby is showing us who's boss around here.  No determining the gender again!  3 ultrasounds now, and no gender shots!  What gives?  We got some beautiful profile shots though and baby was kicking like crazy!  It was weird to see the arm or leg move and feel it at the same time.  Baby was not happy with us for putting them through another ultrasound.
We go back in 8 weeks!  8 weeks!  Who waits that long?  It'll be the week before Thanksgiving before we get to see baby again.  Frustrating!  I do go to the OB in 3 weeks so maybe he'll get us in for a regular scan and we can see something!  It is nice to know that the baby is growing well, and doing well.
I am going to post some pictures of the baby.  All side profiles since that is all baby will give us!  In one the baby is laughing at us, it's almost like she's saying HAHA!  You're trying to get pictures of me?  I don't think so!  And of course we have a hand in the mouth picture.  Baby loves to suck on his hand.

18 weeks!

We are officially 18 weeks pregnant today!  I have been making myself crazy worrying and worrying about the baby.  We are almost halfway there and I am feeling great!  We had an OB appointment yesterday and the doctor had a difficult time finding the heartbeat on the doppler.  After a few minutes of moving around and pushing (really hard!), he decided an ultrasound would be better.  Well, wouldn't it figure that the ultrasound lady was walking out the door.  The computers were shut down and her office was empty!  Luckily he was able to catch her at the door and we were able to catch a glimpse of our beautiful little dumpling.  The baby's heart was beating at 151 bpm, and we felt so much relief!
DH's birthday was on Sunday and I think he had a nice weekend.  He went to the UFC fan expo in Boston on Friday and met his favorite fighter.  Mike Swick autographed something for him, and personalized it for him.  I think that was cool of him to do.  DH said all the fighters and everyone who worked there were all very nice and talked with him.  DH's family came down on Saturday.  We had dinner of mac and cheese and ham steaks with his Mom and Dad, his sister and of course, our nephew.  He is getting to be such a big guy.  He's 2 1/2 and just growing!  He loves to go swimming so Mom-Mom and I took him over to the pool on Saturday and DH and I took him over on Sunday.
I took yesterday off to spend the day with DH to complete his birthday weekend, and he took me to Babiesrus!  he knows how much I love to go and look at all the baby stuff.  We took an old stroller we had with us and traded it in for 25% off of something.  You can only use the coupon on certain things, and the only thing on the whole list that we still needed was the car seat.  So we went back and looked at the car seats.  We were stuck between 3 different ones.  I knew we wanted a convertible, one that would go from 5 lbs up to 60 or so pounds.  I also wanted an extended rear facing car seat.  We finally decided on the Evenflo Triumph LX Convertible Car Seat in Oh!  It is a gorgeous seat and will work well with either sex.
We also decided last night that we are not going to find out the sex of the baby.  After a lot of thinking and talking about it, we decided it is the last big surprise in life and it won't change anything either way!  We are going to be ecstatic no matter what we have, and all of our baby gear is gender neutral.  I also have quite a few gender neutral outfits hanging in the closet already and a go home outfit, so we don't have any good reason to find out!  We just want to be surprised!
ALSO!  I lost a pound!  Which means in the 18 weeks of my pregnancy so far, I have only gained 4 pounds!  And my blood pressure is a perfect 120/80!  So I am feeling good and hoping the rest of my pregnancy goes well!

16 week ultrasound!

We got our long awaited 16 week ultrasound yesterday, and I am so happy to announce that things are going well!  Our little dumpling is growing big and strong.  Weighed in at 6 oz, measuring 16 weeks, 4 days.  Heart was beating at 150 bpm, which is a little slower than we are used to, but normal!  We were able to see 2 arms, 2 hands, 2 legs and 2 feet.  We have a 3 vessel cord which is wonderful and no signs of any problems or issues.  I had refused all prenatal testing as far as bloodwork, amnio's and a cvs.  The ultrasound tech did measure the nuchal fold, which was 2.54.  I think they measure it and just don't tell you, but I knew what she was doing.  I've been going back and forth on getting the AFP bloodwork to check for things like spina bifida and down syndrome.  The problem I have with these types of tests are the false positives.  I do not want to spend my pregnancy needlessly worrying about whether my baby might have a problem or might not.  I have the bloodwork slip, and it needs to be done before 20 weeks, so I have approx. 3 weeks to decide.  I guess I'll decide and have it done around the 30th which is my next OB appointment.
I am also so excited to inform you that I have only gained 5 lbs this whole pregnancy.  I didn't gain anything from my appointment 3 weeks ago to yesterday.  I have been eating like a crazy lady so I was very surprised!  I would be happy to not gain anything the whole pregnancy, but I have a feeling I'll be packing on the pounds in a few months!
Next: 2 pictures of our beautiful little baby!

Disappointing 1st OB appointment

Well, I was unimpressed with the new OB's office I picked.  They were very friendly, but made us wait a long time in the room.  I met a midwife who tried to find the baby's heartbeat on the doppler, but couldn't.  Then she asked me to wait 5 weeks to schedule an ultrasound!  Crazy!  You know my history and you have to understand that I am a worrier.  It's what I do, constantly!  Worry, worry, worry.  So should I worry for the next 5 weeks?  No my friend, I will not.  So, I scheduled an ultrasound for the 18th, and will get another one around 20 weeks if all goes well.  I'm hoping they can see the gender at the scan on the 18th, as I will be 16 weeks (but since I have been measuring 5 days ahead, the baby should be 16 weeks, 5 days or so).
So now with nothing to occupy my time except work and home, I'm stressing.  I should have pushed for an earlier scan, or should have pushed to try longer with the doppler.
We shall see what happens in 19 days.

Friday, July 23, 2010

So last night DH and I went to the store to look for a couple of things.  As you know, I am obssesive about baby stuff so the first and only place I go to is the baby section.  I end up buying 3 things.  A piggy bank (yellow with pooh bear and a dragonfly), a nursing pillow, and a baby's 1st year calendar with stickers.  We got good deals on all of it and the more we buy now, the less we have to buy later!

Something funny happened when we got home from the store.  I, of course, take everything out to look at it and start looking at the calendar.  I flip to the back to look at all the stickers and immediately get sad.  On the Visiting Grandparents sticker there is a dragonfly.  I start to cry and DH says that means that your Mom is here.  She loved dragonflies and winnie the pooh.  She even had a Pooh tattoo.  It just means so much that that particular sticker has a dragonfly.  None of the other ones did, just that one.  Prettty amazing, right?

We also decided to change the nursery set to something gender neutral.  DH and I went to BabiesRus the other weekend to take a look at car seats and cribs.  He went to the back to sit in the recliners and gliders while I looked at the clothing and when I went to the back to get him to go home he said, I think I want to change the bedding.  We had originally picked sports for a boy and dragonflies for a girl.  Well they had this beautiful classic Winnie the Pooh bedding set that just looked gorgeous.  It was very gender neutral and had not only classic pooh, but dragonflies on it as well.  I fell in love with it.  We ended up buying the wall decals that night so we could see how it would look.  I think it is going to be wonderful!  Now, I will leave you with some pictures.
This is the new bedding:

Also, the nursing pillow I picked up last night, very soft and cuddly:

Hopefully, I can curb my spending and not pick anything else up this month!

12 weeks, 5 days....2nd trimester here we come!

Ok, so today I am 12 weeks, 6 days....but the baby measured 12 weeks, 5 days yesterday!  Growing perfectly and very content to relax and wallow in my belly!  The doctor even said we must have rocked the baby to sleep before our appointment.  She was as relaxed as you can get.  Heart was beating at a wonderful 161 bpm, and it took a little while to get her to wiggle around.  She was waving at us and sucking on her hand.  It was marvelous to watch!  I am so blessed to have an RE's office that cares so much, they let us just sit there and watch the baby for a little while.  It was an amazing experience.  On that note, yesterday was my last appointment at the RE's!  I officially graduated from their office yesterday.  Measuring ahead and baby is doing great.  I have my first OB appointment next Thursday, it is going to be strange to not get an ultrasound every week now!  Hopefully we get to hear the heartbeat next Thursday at least.  I will be a nervous wreck all the time!  Tomorrow I will officially be in my 2nd trimester, and it feels wonderful!  I will keep you updated on appointments and such, but am just going to enjoy being pregnant!  I am busy buying stuff and planning on the future.  We got the highchair this week, it was delivered yesterday.  I can't wait to set up the bassinett, I figure I'll get DH to do that around 20 weeks or so.  It is exciting to think in less than 200 days we'll have our baby!  I'm planning on end of January, not beginning of February now.
Little legs, pot belly and ankles crossed!

11 weeks 5 days!

We are measuring ahead, 11 weeks 5 days.  That would make me 12 weeks tomorrow!  I am getting so excited.  We were able to see the baby moving around and dancing.  Baby kept looking right at the ultrasound like what the heck is that!  We also got a cute butt shot.  Baby mooned us!  We are feeling so blessed right now (as usual!).  The only complaint I have is that I am sore!  The right side of my body is sore!  I haven't done anything out of the ordinary, so I'm not sure what the problem is!  Oh well!  Some new pictures of our cutie patootie to enjoy!  My last RE appointment is next Wednesday...the I graduate to the regular OB!  Yay!  I'm excited!

9 weeks!

We have officially made it to 9 weeks, 2 days!  It is a wonderful thing.  The heart was beating at 170 bpm, and the doctors office said it would be fine to wait 2 weeks to come back in.  So, my next ultrasound is July 14.  They also asked me to think about whether we want to get the 1st trimester screening or not.  They would do the ultrasound and the bloodwork between 11 and 13 weeks.  The next time I go in I should be 11 weeks 2 days, so I may just get it done.  It won't matter what the results say, I will have our baby whether they find something or not.  There is a reason why we have been blessed with this baby, so any "issues" that come up, we will deal with!  We love our tiny little baby so much!

We heard the heartbeat!

We are so excited to share that we heard our tiny little ones heartbeat today!  It was beating away at 163 BPM.  The doctor said normal is anywhere between 130 and 180, so we are doing well.  We also measured at 8 weeks 2 days this morning, so the baby is growing perfectly.  We go in again next Wednesday for another ultrasound, so hopefully our little miracle keeps growing away!
I made my first OB appointment for July 29th, and I will be about 13 weeks pregnant.  I am just about 27 days away from 2nd trimester, and I can't wait!  I am so exhausted all the time.  And hungry!
I feel so blessed to be given this beautiful little miracle growing inside me, I am just sending my prayers everyday.  4 years ago around this time, we found out our little one stopped growing at 8 weeks and was no longer with us.  We were devastated, but we are so grateful to be given this opportunity again.
I will update again after our next ultrasound!
